My little goose

This was my goose. I rescued her on the side of the highway one day and put her in a Dunkin’ Donuts bag as I took her home. She cheeped and cheeped the whole way until we got her set up with a heat lamp and some food and water. She hadn’t eaten by the next day so I took her outside and sat with her, watching her tear up grass with her bill and eat that. I made her a little bath to swim in and taught her how to eat the non-medicated feed we had got her. Every time you opened the garage door she would be there, awake, squawking for love and attention. She’d follow you like you were her mama whenever you let her out and tried to feed herself in the mirror. Agoosta or Joy Lovelittle was the best goose that I’ve ever known.

Sadness

Sadness is eating oatmeal at midnight because you haven’t eaten all day. Sadness is waking up with a ball in your throat and a weight on your chest. Sadness is not knowing what will happen tomorrow and who I will lose next. I can’t feel like this much longer, I won’t.

Stinky

The weather is stinky and I have half of a pinky. I am sad but my dad wants me to be glad. I now have a place to show my face for I am the Weather Princess!
